EPPD swears in 63 recruits

The El Paso Police Department announced that 63 recruits from its academy were sworn in as Peace Officers Monday at the Pebble Hills High School Auditorium.

The graduating class, which began training June 19, 2017, were addressed by Police Chief Greg Allen, as he introduced them with their duties before pinning their police badges on their uniform.

Sixty-two will join the ranks of police officers throughout the five Regional Commands and one was introduced as a fire marshal for the El Paso Fire Department.
