Vado dog found without plastic jug on head
After days of not being able to eat or drink water, a stray dog in Vado no longer has a jar stuck on his head.
“It was extremely exciting,” said Karen Wagoner, who originally found the stray dog. “This has been the longest five days of looking for this dog.”
The dog has not yet been captured, but ABC-7 crews stumbled upon it with another dog after volunteers reported a sighting on Wednesday.
“We had a tremendous response of people wanting to help this dog and locate it and save its life,” Wagoner said. “We’ve brought a lot of awareness to the problem.”
Dozens of concerned ABC-7 viewers reached out after watching the story, with many volunteering their time to search for the dog, including PETA.
“We’ve had people come from El Paso,” Wagoner said. “We’ve had a tremendous outpouring of support.”
When ABC-7 stumbled upon the dog, a neighbor was feeding him scraps. He ran away shortly after.
“We’re still going to try and rescue the dog and save his life,” Wagoner said.
