Pedestrian killed in crash Friday night

Police say a 60-year-old man was killed while crossing a street Friday night.

The crash happened before 8 P.M on the 4000 block of Tompkins.

Police say 60-year-old Alejo Rojas walked across Tompkins in a dimly-lit area that was not a designated crosswalk or intersection when he was struck by a car.

Rojas was taken to UMC where he died. It’s unclear if any charges will be filed.
