EPPD looking for suspect who photographs women in public restrooms
Detectives with the El Paso Police Department need the public’s help in locating a man who has been photographing women at public restrooms across the city, announced Crime Stoppers Friday.
Officials said the man was captured on security video, and is asking for help identifying the peeping tom.
The first reported incident happened on El Paso’s Westside at the “Ross” store located at 655 Sunland Park Drive.
Detectives said the suspect made his way into the ladies bathroom and was inside of a stall for almost an hour and took some photographs and fled the scene when confronted.
Just two days earlier on Friday, December 29th 2017, the same suspect had walked into the ladies bathroom at the Barnes and Noble store located at 8889 Gateway West at the “Fountains at Farah.”
The suspect stayed in a stall in the ladies bathroom and was confronted by employees. The suspect claimed he had confused the bathrooms and left. There was not any outcry of any photos being taken at that location.
The most recent incident took place on Tuesday, February 1st, at the “Ross” store located at 1848 Joe Battle. In this case the suspect was in the ladies restroom for a significant amount of time before being confronted and taking a picture of a woman.
The man is described as a Black male, in his mid-20’s to early 30’s, thin to average build, and appears to be wearing some type of shirt or cap with the “Adidas” logo on it.
