Search for driver who ran over and killed dog
The Dona Ana County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of a dog that appears to have been purposely run over by a car.
A surveillance video posted on Facebook by Las Cruces resident Christina Major shows the car that ran over the dog belonging to Major’s sister.
The dog, an Australian shepherd named Jude, was run over by a black Ford Mustang or Chevrolet Camaro on a private property near “A” Mountain, close to Sonoma Ranch Boulevard and University Avenue on Feb. 16.
Investigators said that the car may have some damage.
A $1,000 reward is being offered for any information about the driver.
