Central El Paso McDonald’s reopens with self-order kiosks

The McDonald’s at Montana and Trowbridge celebrated its reopening Wednesday morning in a big way.

This newly-renovated location is the first of its kind in El Paso: offering self-service kiosks for customers.

“We are excited to re-open the McDonald’s with the most up-to-date equipment, a new level of added convenience with the self-order kiosks and a play area for children. We are very proud of the new store and we think our customers will also love the new technology,” said restaurant owner Richard Castro.

The self-order kiosks even allow for order customization with toppings, bread, and other options. The kiosks take credit, debit, and McDonald’s Arch cards. Cash orders must still use the front counter.

“The kiosk is good in a sense that now you can just order we’ll quick and if you’re in a hurry you can get out there quickly,” says customer Rey Rivera.

The McDonald’s self-order kiosks were first introduced in 2016 and are now in use at over 3,000 locations. If you prefer to give your order to a person, that option is still available.
