Get a first-hand experience of what it’s like living in Downtown El Paso

The Downtown Management District is holding the second annual Downtown El Paso Living Tour in April.

In the heart of the city, the arts, sports and plenty of culture are just steps away, and the DMD wants everyone to be able to experience what it’s like to live in the budding area.

The tour also gives participants a taste of what it’s like living in downtown with food samples from area eateries like 501 Bistro, Porkie’s BBQ and International.

“Were inviting El Pasoans for an exclusive opportunity to really partake in the energy that is building within Downtown El Paso,” said DMD Executive Director Joe Gudenrath.

Seven different stops on the tour include:

The Abdou Building, 115 N. Mesa Street The 501, 501 S. Campbell Street Essex Alley, 513 W. San Antonio Avenue Franklin Avenue Apartments, 617 W. Franklin Avenue Martin Lofts (ElectriCity), 217 N. Stanton Street Roderick Artspace Lofts, 601 N. Oregon Street The Savoy, 120 S. Stanton Street

“Last year, one of the most common comments we heard was “whoa, I didn’t know this existed, I didn’t know this was here, or I’ve never had food from this restaurant,'” said Gudenrath.

Tickets are on sale for $15. Shuttles are provided to take tour-goes to and from the different stops.

The Downtown Living Tour is schedule for April 7 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
