Cody Decker homers in first at-bat in PCL return

Cody Decker could very well play again at Southwest University Park.

The former Chihuahua is now back in the Pacific Coast League playing for the Reno Aces, the Triple-A affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks. The Aces, as fate would have it, will visit El Paso for a series beginning on April 30.

Decker started for the Aces on Sunday, and he wasted little time making an impact. The slugger hit a two-run home run in his very first plate appearance in the team’s 9-4 loss to Fresno.

Decker finished 1-3 in the game with that home run and a walk.

The fan favorite has now hit 189 home runs in his career.

The Chihuahuas will likely play against Decker on the road in a little over a week. The Aces will host the Chihuahuas in a series beginning on April 17.
