Out of all 50 states and including Washington, D.C., New Mexico is the worst state for millennials to live, according to a new report by WalletHub.com
Texas ranked 17 in the overall study.
“Millennials” are defined as people who were born between 1981 and 1997.
For this study, WalletHub compared the 50 states and the District of Columbia across five key metrics: affordability, education and health, quality of life, economic health and civic engagement.
Washington D.C. was ranked the best area for millennials to live. The number two spot was given to North Dakota and Minnesota ranked third.
