City Council introduces new EPPD patrol cars, approve building award

City Council handed El Paso Police Department keys to more than a dozen new patrol cars at Tuesday’s Council meeting.

The delivery of the units is part of the Council’s efforts to replace 300 patrol units within a two-year period.

The City released a video which highlights the new patrol cars.

City Council also approved a resolution to award the recently rehabilitated Martin Building with a plaque that rewards buildings that are 50 years or older, rehabilitated or in good condition.

The Martin Building’s $7.4 million rehabilitation was completed in 2016.
