A former Aggie & a former Miner are headed to the Baltimore Ravens

A former New Mexico State Aggie and a former UTEP Miner will be getting chance to play in the NFL and could possibly end up as teammates.

Saturday, the Baltimore Ravens selected former NMSU wide receiver Jaleel Scott in the 4th round of the NFL Draft.

Scott played two seasons at NMSU after transferring from Ellsworth Community College in 2016.

During his two seasons as an Aggie, the wide receiver played in 25 games and made 99 receptions for 1,362 yards with 14 touchdowns.

Also on Saturday, the Baltimore Ravens signed former UTEP linebacker Alvin Jones to a free agent contract.

Jones posted on Twitter the following message, “So excited to sign with the Baltimore Ravens. Blessed beyond measure to get an opportunity of a lifetime with such a great program. It’s only the beginning.”

Jones is the brother of former UTEP running back and current Green Bay Packer Aaron Jones.

Aaron Jones was drafted by the Packers in last year’s draft in the 5th round.
