City Council to discuss incentive package to bring indoor skydiving company to El Paso

El Paso city council will discuss approving an incentive package for the development of an indoor skydiving entertainment facility on Tuesday.

City documents state the new facility would be built at 430 Vin Rambla Drive, that’s in West El Paso in the Montecillo area.

The facility would be 4,967 square feet.

City council will discuss approving a $162,863 sales tax rebate incentive package.

“This is another testament that adding more entertainment and recreation amenities to our city only further adds to our overall quality of life and place,” City of El Paso director of economic development Jessica Herrera said. “We are confident they will have great success in our region.”

iFly has 37 locations around the world. The closest one to El Paso is in Phoenix.

Herrera said she met with iFly representatives at a real estate conference back in February.

“This type of technology will add a great experience to indoor skydiving,” Herrera said.

Herrera said iFly’s investment is more than $12 million.
