Police arrest alleged Circle K robber

Police detectives have arrested the alleged Circle K robber and charged the man in connection to a series of aggravated robberies.

Jose Luis Valles, 60, allegedly robbed the Circle K store located at 7100 North Loop several times.

Valles was arrested on June 11, 2018 and booked into the El Paso County Jail early Tuesday, June 12, 2018.

The man was charged with two counts of Aggravated Robbery and bond was set at $100,000.

The robberies occurred at the same Circle K Store on Wednesday May 23 at 2:30 A.M., Tuesday June 5 at 11:45 P.M., and Sunday June 10 at 1:08 A.M.

In all three cases, Valles allegedly entered the store, took out a knife, and demanded the store clerk give him the money from the register. Police said Valles threatened the clerk with the knife.

In the first robbery, Valles allegedly wore a white surgical mask over his face and in the other two robberies he did not cover his face.
