Study: El Paso among the best cities to drive in
With all the construction around town, it’s hard to believe El Paso is ranked as one of the best cities for driving.
In a study conducted by WalletHub.com, El Paso is ranked number 8.
100 of the most populated cities in the U.S. were compared using four categories: traffic, safety, cost of a car and its maintenance.
Most Americans rely on cars to move around, and according to the Bureau of Transportation Statistics, “87 percent of daily trips take place in personal vehicles.”
Wallet Hub says drivers spend an average of more than 290 hours on the road annually. For a full-time worker, that’s equivalent of a seven-week vacation.
El Paso also came up second for lowest vehicle maintenance costs.
The best city to drive is in Raleigh, North Carolina ranked at no. 1 while Detroit, Michigan is the worst.
