Police charge man who allegedly fired weapon outside ‘Little Bit of Texas’

The police department’s Crimes Against Persons Unit arrested and charged a man who allegedly fired a gun outside an Upper Valley club.

23-year- old Andrew Brooksher, of Fort Bliss, Texas, is charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.

Police said Brooksher’s mug shot “is not being released as this time, due to the on-going investigation, but it will be released as soon as it will not compromise this case.”

A viral video posted on social media shows a fight in a parking the morning of July 8, 2018. A man is seen firing a gun and the large crowd quickly disperses.

Police said Brooksher was in the parking lot of Little Bit of Texas Bar, when the physical altercation. The bar is located in the 5500 block of Doniphan.

“Investigators have identified Brooksher then used a firearm, discharged several rounds into the air, then pointed the weapon and threatened numerous individuals in the parking lot,” police said in a news release.

Investigators secured three arrest warrants for Brooksher. He was booked into the El Paso County Jail on Friday, July 13, 2018 on bonds totaling $150,000.
