Police: Man with outstanding drug warrant was driving drunk, going 60 in a 30 mph zone
Police said a man wanted on an outstanding warrant for “Possession of a Controlled Substance” was caught driving drunk in Central El Paso.
Camden Mark Villa, 21, of Horizon City, was charged with Driving While Intoxicated. Police said his blood alcohol content level was .15, nearly double the legal limit.
A police officer spotted Villa driving a white 1996 Acura Integra east on the 3000 block of Pershing “at a high rate of speed, just after 2:00 a.m.”
Police said Villa reached speeds of 60 miles per hour in the posted 30 mile per hour zone.
After he was taken into custody, police learned Villa had an outstanding warrant for his arrest.
Villa was booked into the El Paso County Jail on the outstanding warrant and DWI BAC > = .15. His bonds totaled $5,000.
