City of El Paso repairing heavily traveled streets

The City of El Paso is fixing some of the city’s busiest, and badly damaged streets, according to a video posted on the City’s Facebook page.

The streets scheduled for resurfacing are McCombs, Resler, Yarbrough, George Dieter, Viscount, Hawkins, Rojas and Railroad.

The project is funded by the 2012 Street Capital Improvement Program. The City says the project is meant to show their commitment to improve safety, enhance the regional transportation system and the visual image of the community.

Some things El Pasoans’ had to say in the video about the project were,

“It’s about time.”

“It needs to be done,”

“I think it will be a good investment for the city.”

“These are very important roads, that everyone uses, so they need to be nice and surfaced.”
