Las Cruces man accused of sexually assaulting girl
A Las Cruces man is accused or sexually assaulting a girl on multiple occasions dating back to when the accuser was 11 or 12 years old, a criminal complaint obtained by ABC-7 states.
Thursday morning, investigators with the Doña Ana County Sheriff’s Department arrested Bruce Lee, 53, and charged him with three counts of Criminal Sexual Penetration Causing Injury and an additional count of Criminal Sexual Penetration.
ABC-7 does not identify the victims of sexual assault.
The criminal complaint states laboratory samples obtained with the accuser’s permission returned DNA belonging to a male. “Bruce Lee DNA cannot be eliminated as a source,” in some of the samples, the document further states.
The criminal complaint states Lee told investigators the girl has made multiple accusations against him in the past. The behavior began when Lee allegedly caught the girl watching pornography, the criminal complaint states.
Lee also told investigators, that because of those accusations, he tries to stay away from the girl and tries not to be left alone with her. Further, Lee said the latest accusations came after the girl was punished and her phone taken away.
Online jail records show Lee is jailed without bond.
