Aggies say they stay tough heading into upcoming football season after losing key players

Saturday was media day for the NMSU Aggies.

Coach Martin and multiple players were made available to be interviewed.

They talked about the upcoming season and also the players that have come in.

After losing talented players like Jaleel Scott and Larry Rose III, the Aggies are looking to stay tough.

With a their first bowl win in decades last year Coach Martin didn’t want his team living in the past.

“I don’t think it will ever change here. We’re the underdog, we’re the ones that play with a chip on our shoulders, we understand that’s who we are,” Martin said. “It’s us and our fans against everyone, we wouldn’t have it any other way.”

Junior defensive linemen Roy Lopez said since the level of play is rising, so is the level of practice.

“As a defensive linemen, we’re going to head in there every game with an attitude that every game is going to be depending on us up front.”
