Miner Baseketball took on the Texas Tech Red Raiders in Lubbock

The UTEP Miners took on the Texas Tech Red Raiders tonight up in Lubbock.

It was a charity exhibition game which benefited the victims of the Santa Fe school shootings.

The Miner’s Evan Gilyard and Jordan Lathon both scored 17 points for the Miners which led the team.

UTEP was disastrous from the three point line shooting 4-14 and not much better from the free throw line going 11-23.

Jarrett Culver and Norense Odiase led the Red Raiders with 18 and 11 respectively.

The Red Raiders out rebounded the Miners 55 to 30.

UTEP will play UT Permian Basin this coming Tuesday at the Don Haskins Center.
