EPPD identify man killed Saturday night after being ejected from vehicle

Special Traffic Investigators responded to the 8700 block of Edgemere on Saturday, November 3rd after being called out to assist with the investigation of a fatal traffic collision.

When investigators arrived at the scene they revealed that a 1999 GMC Yukon driven by Victor Manuel Hinojosa, 61, was traveling east on Edgemere. Hinojosa failed to stop at the Hawkins intersection and struck a landscape boulder on the median. After striking the boulder, the vehicle rolled, ejecting Hinojosa.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to police, this is the 56th traffic fatality this year.
