EPPD: Pickup stolen from driveway was hauled by SUV, set on fire blocks away
A truck taken from the driveway of home in Northeast El Paso was hauled by the driver of an SUV, then later found engulfed in flames a few blocks away.
Police said a surveillance camera recorded the stolen pickup, a 1993 Chevrolet Silverado, being pulled by an SUV.
The theft happened the early morning of Sunday, September 23, 2018 at 3:55a.m.
Police and firefighters responded to the 5800 block of Lexington and Railroad after the truck was set on fire.
Investigators learned the vehicle had been stolen from the driveway of a home at the 9300 block of Roanoke.
Police said the black, 1993 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck was being pulled by a S.U.V. and taken to the location where the truck was set on fire.
