The Aggies took on the Kansas Jayhawks

The NMSU Aggies took on number two in the nation, The Kansas Jayhawks in the Spirit Center. First quarter, Ivan Aurracoachea puts in the quick two.

Early on, Aggies up one, AJ Harris feeds Johnny McCants who gets swatted from behind by Marcos Garrett.

Still in the first Garrett gets too much room, spots up and drains the easy three. Aggies down two now.

Under a minute left in the half, Shun Buchannon sees McCants under the hoop and sets him up for the one handed slam!!!!!

Second half, Aggies up 4, now they are up 7 as Buchannon drops the trey!

Aggies pushing but Jojo Zamora makes the errant pass, Lagerald Vick steals it then sets up Mitch Lightfoot who charges the lane and dunks on the Aggies!

The Jayhawks come back to tie it up. Three and a half left in the game, Dedric Lawson gets the pill and knows what to do with it. Kansas now up three.

Aggies with one last chance, down three with 10 seconds left, Kansas guarding the three ball, JJ Zamora puts it up to tie the game but it clangs off the rim!!!!
The Aggies lost 63 to 60.
