Pedestrian killed, motorcyclist critically injured after wreck Sunday morning

The pedestrian struck by a motorcyclist Sunday morning in Central El Paso died at the scene, El Paso Police said.

Police identified the pedestrian as 78-year-old David Buzo Peña.

The wreck happened December 23, 2018 on the 1700 block of Alabama at about 7:41 a.m.

Special Traffic Investigations officers said Peña was crossing Alabama “at a place not designated for pedestrian crossing.”

The motorcyclist, identified by police as 26-year-old Max Vicente Treviño, was traveling south on Alabama when he struck Peña. Treviño, who police said was not wearing a helmet, suffered life threatening injuries.
