Pitt and Stanford arrive for the Sun Bowl.

Well the teams have arrived. The Pittsburgh Panthers and the Stanford cardinal are in El Paso and experiencing a little bit of what the Borderland has to offer before they get to work!

The first plane landed at the El Paso Airport around 11:am. Pittsburgh showed up first with Stanford arriving about 45 minutes later.

As soon as their feet touched the tarmac the Sun Bowl committee welcomed the teams with open arms.

Coaches and players were treated to maricahi and traditional folklorico dancers.

The coaches, players and even their families all got in on the fun.

This is what coach David Shaw from Stanford thought of the experience, “Everybody here, the volunteers are passionate about it and that oozes threw our guys appreciate that and cant wait to get the festivities started.”
