Men’s Hoops: NMSU crushes Seattle on the road, 87-60

The NMSU men’s basketball team saw 15 different players score in a blowout win at Seattle University on Thursday.

The Aggies would lead at the break by 26 and go on to win by 27, 87-60.

NMSU improved to 14-4 overall and 3-1 in the WAC while Seattle is now 12-7 on the season with an 0-4 mark in conference play.

The Aggies dominated nearly every statiscal category, shooting over 53-percent from the floor while grabbing ten more rebounds than the Redhawks.

Eli Chuha led the team with 13 points and added 10 rebounds while connecting on six of his eight shot attempts.

The Aggies never trailed in the contest and used a 29-8 run late in the first half to effectively put the game away before halftime.

NMSU has now won three straight games in the WAC after losing their conference opener at Cal Baptist.

A trip Saturday to Utah Valley now awaits the Aggies who only trail Grand Canyon and CSU Bakersfield by a half-game for the top spot in the league.
