You can’t buy peanuts or Cracker Jack at this ballpark anymore
A baseball team in Connecticut has banned peanuts at the ballpark and is now letting fans rewrite the famous “Take Me Out to the Ballgame” song.
That includes boxes of Cracker Jack, which contain peanuts.
Dunkin’ Donuts Park, where the Hartford Yard Goats play – the Class AA affiliate of the Colorado Rockies – is becoming what’s believed to be the one of the first professional sports venue to go completely peanut-free.

The Yard Goats do not play the El Paso Chihuahuas, the Triple-A affiliate of the San Diego Padres.
Peanuts are one of the most common and deadliest allergies in the country, especially among children.
“Everyone should have the opportunity to experience the atmosphere at Dunkin’ Donuts Park,” Yard Goats President Tim Restall said in a release. “With more than 200 food items available, it makes sense to eliminate just two that allows fans with peanut allergies to attend games.”

The team is now letting people rewrite “Take Me Out to the Ball Game” to replace the “peanuts and Crack Jack” mention in the song.
