Students shine in Destination Imagination competition

A competition was held at Eastlake High School Saturday where students from elementary to high school level put their thinking caps on to solve challenges.

It was the regional round of Destination Imagination.

Destination Imagination is a global creative problem-solving organization that prepares kindergarten to high school students for college and career readiness through 21st century thinking and learning principles.

More than 140 teams from the region took part in the competition.

Teams compete in academic challenges in the fields of technical, science, fine arts, improvisation, engineering and service learning.

ABC-7 photojournalist Todd Toney was there.
