Police locate vehicle allegedly involved in deadly West El Paso hit-and-run
El Paso Police have identified the man killed in Saturday’s deadly hit-and-run collision in West El Paso and located the vehicle allegedly involved in the hit-and-run.
Police said 27-year-old Miguel Pereda Silerio was struck near the intersection of Mesa and Resler just after 7 p.m. by the driver of a white Dodge Journey.
Police said the preliminary investigation revealed Silerio was not crossing at a cross walk. He was taken to University Medical Center where he died.
According to a news release from the police department, investigators believe Silerio was struck by the driver, who allegedly fled the scene.
Police on Monday released a grainy image of the white SUV believed to be involved in the hit-and-run. On Tuesday, police said they had located the SUV, but did not say whether the driver had been located or identified.
