El Paso woman found dead in Juarez cemetery

A Canadian woman and El Paso resident was found dead in Juarez last week.

Our news partners, Canal 44, report the woman was identified as 21-year-old Victoria Marsbergen.

According to the Chihuahua State Police report, Marsbergen’s body was discovered at the Panteon Colinas Juarez cemetery last Tuesday.

The police report states no arrests have been made, and police have not yet identified a motive. Chihuahua State Police said Marsbergen was not sexually assaulted, but that her head was fractured.

A police report was filed in El Paso last week after Marsbergen did not go back home, and would not answer her phone.

A spokesperson for the El Paso Independent School District told ABC-7 Marsbergen attended Chapin for part of her freshman year before transferring to Premiere High School.

ABC-7 will update this article as soon as we get more information.
