CHIHUAHUAS WIN 6TH IN A ROW, DEFEAT OMAHA 6-2

Another June game, another win for the El Paso Chihuahuas.

On the road in Omaha, The Dogs kicked off a 3-game series against the Storm Chasers with a 6-2 victory. The win gives them their sixth in a row and keeps their unblemished record in the month of June.

The Chihuahuas chased Omaha starter Arnaldo Hernandez early, tagging him for five runs in the 2nd inning.

Michael Gettys, Webster Rivas, and Ty France each recorded RBI base hits en route to a 5-0 lead. Rivas added a solo home run in the 3rd.

The Dogs have been on a tear at the plate over their six-game streak, scoring at least five runs in each contest.

Dillon Overton pitched five innings of two-run ball to earn the win, before turning it over to the bullpen to shut down the final four frames.

The Chihuahuas look to extend their streak to seven tomorrow night in Game Two of the series, another 6:05 start on Saturday night.
