El Paso radio show hosts asking for school supplies for ‘Stuff the Bus’ campaign

The new school year is almost here and to help students and teachers before they head back to school, a local radio station is asking for your help.

Local radio show hosts, Mike and Tricia, are hosting the 22nd annual Mike and Tricia’s “Stuff the Bus” campaign.

“We’re trying to make sure that kids who are going to be starting the school, without school supplies, get those school supplies,” said Tricia Martinez from 93.1 KISS FM’s “Mike and Tricia Mornings.”

“We’re also trying to help the teachers cause we know teachers spend so much of their time and their own money on school supplies every year.”

This year, Mike and Tricia are teaming up with The Great Khalid Foundation, founded by local R&B singer Khalid Robinson.

Mike and Tricia, along with The Great Khalid Foundation will be giving more than 500 backpacks stuffed with school supplies to students from the El Paso, Ysleta and Socorro Independent School Districts.

The drive ends Friday and you can help make a difference in several children’s lives.

You can drop off supplies at the locations listed below. You can also drop off cash donations or a check to the KISS FM radio station located at 4180 North Mesa in West El Paso.
