Man accused of assaulting girlfriend, daughter in far east El Paso
EL PASO, Texas -- A 32-year-old man has been arrested and is accused of assaulting his girlfriend and her daughter.
Daniel Oporto was arrested on a warrant and taken into custody.
El Paso County Sheriff’s deputies said they responded to reports of an assault over the weekend along the 14900 block of Whitetail Deer Drive in far East El Paso County.
Deputies said they determined that Oporto assaulted his girlfriend during a visit and in the process also hurt his girlfriend’s daughter. The daughter’s age was not released.
Oporto had fled the scene before deputies arrived.
They subsequently arrested him at his home a couple days later after a warrant was issued.
He is facing charges of injury to a child, elderly or disabled with intent to do bodily injury. His jail bonds total $50,000.
