35 more El Paso virus deaths – youngest in 30s; hospital patients at low since Oct.

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- The El Paso Department of Public Health announced 35 coronavirus-related deaths Thursday morning.

The deaths include a woman in her 30s, 4 men and a woman in their 50s, 7 men and 3 women in their 60s, 5 men and 4 fwomen in their 70s, 3 men and 2 women in their 80s, and a man and 4 women in their 90s.

The health department has acknowledged that these deaths did not occur on the same day. It can sometimes take months for them to determine the official cause of death.

El Paso County's pandemic death toll now stands at 2,132, with 291 additional suspected Covid-19 deaths currently under investigation by local health officials.

The number of known active cases is decreased from 5,783 to 5,631

Hospitalizations decreased from 313 to 292. There are 125 patients listed in the intensive care unit.

Since the start of the pandemic, there have been 124,812 confirmed cases in El Paso, with 116,709 reported recoveries.
