‘Operation Pumpkin’ showcases pumpkin carving talents of El Paso doctors, surgeons

A visually stunning fundraiser will benefit dozens of children in El Paso who are trying to forge their path in life without parents or a permanent guardian.

The 18th annual “Operation Pumpkin” event brings together some of the area’s most skilled surgeons and gifted physicians to show off their pumpkin carving skills in a fundraising event for the Lee and Beulah Moor Children’s Home.

Local physicians and surgeons carve pumpkin masterpieces, which are then auctioned live to support the home. There’s also a silent auction and raffle.

100% of the proceeds directly benefit children at the home ages birth through college. The proceeds cover the clothing budget for over 80 kids for an entire year.

This year’s event is on Sunday, Oct. 20 at 5:30 p.m. at Coronado Country Club. Tickets are $25 which includes food. You must be 21 or older to attend.
