ABC-7 First Alert: Wind Advisory in place for the Borderland

EL PASO, Texas -- Several weather warnings are in place as strong winds move into the Borderland. Winds from the west could gust up to 50 mph for parts of southern New Mexico and west Texas.

Those winds gusts could cause damage, as well as low visibility with blowing dust and sand throughout the Borderland.

Be sure to secure outdoor object and use extra caution when driving.

Windy conditions continue into the early morning hours on Monday and are expected to die down by late Monday evening.
