ABC-7 StormTRACK Weather: Warm week ahead

Good Sunday morning to you all. I hope you made it through the first widespread freeze across the region. If you tuned in to the 6 AM show, you saw that the cold temps are only temporary. Above average temperatures will resume this afternoon, and peaking around 72 on Tuesday. We should be at around 57 degrees this time of year, so we are well above that.

Tuesday and Wednesday will be breezier days. Expect wind gusts up to about 25 mph on those days. A cold front will move through the region on Wednesday, bringing down the temperatures ever so slightly (still above average). However, something that will we certainly be paying attention to is a possible winter storm by the weekend. As of now, I'm forecasting a 20% chance of rain. As the models change and begin to align, that rain chance may go up, as well as the winds. Enjoy the week ahead!
