El Paso man arrested for injuring 3-year-old chihuahua
EL PASO, Texas -- Police officials say 29-year-old Anthony Leonard Moore was arrested after a video depicted Moore picking up a 3-year-old Chihuahua by the collar and striking her on the side of her body as she yelped in pain.
The incident happened on the 100 block of S. Resler.
According to the Animal Cruelty Unit, Moore admitted to hitting the dog because she ran off.
It was later revealed that the dog sustained multiple fractures as a result of being hit by Moore.
Moore was taken to the El Paso County Detention Facility and booked on Cruelty to Non-Livestock Animals with a bond of $2,500 issued by Judge Horkowitz.
