Griffin lifts Tulsa past Wichita St. 73-67 in AAC

FORT WORTH, Texas — Sam Griffin had 21 points as Tulsa beat Wichita State 73-67 in the American Athletic Conference Tournament first round. Darien Jackson added 20 points for the Golden Hurricane. Ricky Council IV led the Shockers on Thursday with 19 points.
