Usher, Chris Brown concert: What to expect

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- El Paso has another highly anticipated concert lined up for Saturday. Usher and Chris Brown will bring the R&B Tour to the Sun Bowl Stadium.

The University of Texas at El Paso Office of Special Events shared guidance for parking, its bag policy and timeline for concertgoers.

What time should I get there?

UTEP OSE suggested arriving early and said to expect road closures around the stadium. The map below shows planned road closures (marked with a red circle).

• Parking lots open: 8 a.m.
• VIP check-in (North Gate): 4 p.m.
• Doors open: 5 p.m.
• Show starts: 7 p.m.

Those without VIP tickets can enter through any gate.

Parking

UTEP OSE said general parking is available for purchase on Saturday only. Drivers pay for parking at the entrance of each lot. They can pay only with cards.

The fan guide said those who park in nearby restaurant, business or grocery lots will be towed.

ADA parking is available for purchase on a first-come, first-serve basis at these lots:

• Glory Road 3 (GR3) & Glory Road 4 (GR4). Access through N. Oregon St.
• Glory Road 1 (GR1). Access through Sun Bowl Dr.
• Sun Bowl 5 (SB5)
• Sun Bowl Parking Garage (SBG): Top Floor (5th) ONLY, has access to ground level South of Stadium (Southwest Gate)
• ADA Parking Placards and/or license plates will be required.
• ADA VIP Ticket holders: For the most accessible experience, should pay to park in the lots located near the North Gate (GR1, GR3 & GR4) which are closest to the Check-In Area.

Rideshare Pick-up/Drop-off

Those taking a rideshare (Uber, Lyft, etc.) should use the designated zone at SB11 Parking Lot on 3333 N Mesa St. and Kern Dr.

What can I bring?

The Sun Bowl Stadium has a clear bag policy. Reusable plastic bottles can be taken into the stadium, with a limit of one per person. UTEP said it will have water fountains outside the gates.

Where to find merch tables

UTEP OSE shared a map of concession and merchandise spots. Merch and concession stands accept card and cash payments.
