Growing senior population in El Paso prompts new clinic to open

KVIA

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- A growth in El Paso's senior population attracted a new, senior-focused clinic in the Lower Valley. Conviva Senior Primary Care held a ribbon cutting ceremony Wednesday for the new clinic on N. Loop Drive.

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, 19% of El Pasoans are 60 years old or older. That's a jump from 13% in 2000.

Conviva said its North Loop clinic offers bilingual healthcare. It aims to help patients access healthy food, transportation and combat other challenges seniors face.

"We want to see you as often as we can to keep you healthy, live your best life, detect detect chronic conditions early, so it's preventative care," said Conviva Senior Primary Market Care President Stephen Johnson.

The new clinic is the third Conviva Senior Primary Care location in El Paso.

Conviva North Loop stands at 8100 N. Loop Dr. Building C, Suite 307.
