Sunday Funday Moment: Chuco Relic is celebrating their 10-year anniversary with a Chuco Fiesta

Chuco Relic is celebrating their 10-year anniversary and the community is invited to their weeks long 915 fiesta.

“I've seen how the stores grown from just having one location out on the west side to having one at central one at east and being all over the city now so it allows more people to see how awesome our stores are,” said Joel Estrada, Project manager for Chuco Relic.

The store is turning a decade old this month and they’re celebrating their big day by showing support to other small businesses.

“The market is going to celebrate our 10-year anniversary and whats really fun is we just don't want to celebrate just our store, we want to celebrate other businesses as well because we started just as vendors at a market to try and get our name out there and now we can host markets of our own,” said Estrada.

Chuco Relic will have a weeks long “Chuco Fiesta” event that includes a Chuco tour, Chuco fiesta market and more.

“If you come to Chuco Relic you can come and get a VIP card and that VIP card is going to give you 15% off on any participating business,” explained Estrada. “If you do collect a certain amount of businesses you do get some awesome prices and the biggest prize will be being entered in a raffle to the One Region, One Table dinner.”

The festivities will also include a Chuco Tour which will showcase El Paso and allow for guests to explore El Paso like a tourist to see all the beautiful landmarks that make our city amazing.

Seats for the tour are limited to only 50 guests so if you would like to join the tour you are encouraged to purchase your tickets online by clicking here.

The week long celebration will end with the first-ever Chuco Market that will be hosted by Sun City Dreamers at Chuco Relics central store location.

The market will happen from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m on Saturday, September 17th. It will feature local small business vendors and is open to the public.

For Estrada and the rest of the Chuco Relic team, supporting local businesses is something they take pride in and something they hope others will continue to do.

“When you support the 915 or when you support local you're supporting that mission that we always want to keep growing and we want to also keep it here local,” said Estrada.
