Former Local Bishop Found Safe

OZONA, Texas (AP) – Retired Archbishop Patrick Flores has been found safe in Ozona, more than 200 miles from San Antonio, one day after he turned up missing.

No criminal activity seems to be involved with this case, police said.

Flores, who served as bishop of the El Paso diocese in 1978-79, was driving his car and was located around 3 a.m. Wednesday, officials said.

Flores,78,had been missing from a San Antonio retirement home since around 2 p.m. Tuesday.

Flores has diabetes and hearing problems, police detective Robert O’Hara said, but hedid not speculate if any physical limitation led toFlores’ getting lost or going missing.
