Overnight Crash Requires ‘Jaws Of Life’ To Rescue Driver

EL PASO — An overnight vehicle crash early Saturday required hydraulic jaws of life to get the victim out and administer medical attention.
Emergency medical crews responded to the single-vehicle car crash that happened around 4:15 near the intersection of Pellicano and Gene Torres.
Dispatchers said the driver was alone when he collided with a pole. The cause of the crash is still under investigation. Investigators had not yetdetermined whether speed or alcohol were factors in the crash.
