El Paso Police Announce 11th Traffic Fatality Of The Year

EL PASO, Texas – El Paso has it’s eleventh traffic fatality of the year, police announced Friday. Xavier Alexander Barraza, 26, died April 2 from injures related to a car crash.

The crash happened March 29. According to police, Barraza was driving the wrong way down Marshall Road when he collided with a car being driven by 60-year-old Robert Calderon. Calderon was injured, but his injuries are not life threatening.

Barraza was not restrained, police said.

Preliminary investigations do not indicate speed or alcohol to be factors, but investigators are awaiting test results before they can rule out any other substances.
