Deputies Identify Body Found In Fabens

Sheriff’s Deputies this morning foundthe body of a man in Fabens who had been dead for a while.

A spokesman with the Sheriff’s office tells ABC-7 the body has been identified as Rodolfo Guerra. The spokesman says Guerra was 42 years old and a resident of San Elizario.

Guerra’s bodywas located near the 600 block of Camp.

Sheriff’s investigators still don’t know how long the body had been there, but they also found a motorcycle in a canal near Guerra’s body.

At this point, they suspectGuerra was traveling west on Camp in his Honda motorcycle, when he came across a sharp right turn. They say he failed to maneuver the turn and ended up riding on the dirt next to the road.

Guerra lostcontrol of the bike and investigators say he flew off the bike, that ended up on a ditch.

Guerra was not wearing a helmet and suffered severe head injuries.

Special Traffic Investigators were called out to the site of the crash and say speed may have been a factor.

Toxicology reports will determine if alcahol played a role.

Officials sayhe was found after a passerby sawthe dead bodyand called authorities.
