Plaza Theater To Show Glory Road On Friday

The Plaza Theater will show free screenings of “Glory Road”, the movie that showcases Don Haskins’ journey to the 1966 NCAA Basketball Championship, in which he started five African-American players.

The movie will be showed three times on Friday night. The first showing will be at 4P.M., the second at 7P.M. and the third at 10 that night.

All showings will be free. The El Paso Community Foundation and several area businesses paid for the free screenings.

“The idea is to celebrate Don Haskins and his accomplishments” said El Paso Community Foundation board member Eric Pearson
