Driver Runs Over Man In South El Paso
Paramedics transported a man to Thomason Hospital after he was run over by a car early Sunday morning in south El Paso.
The car hit the man shortly after fouro’clock near the intersection of Virginia Avenue and Ninth Street.
According to police, a fight broke out between the driver and the man who was hit.
Witnesses tell police the driver backed his car into several people before driving away.
However, the witnesses followed the driver, and police were able to arrest him.
Police say the victim suffered lacerations on the back of his head; however, the other people were not hurt badly.
El Paso fire dispatchers report the victim is in his twenties.
