Forbes.com Ranks UTEP On Best Schools List

EL PASO, TX — UTEPis one of the best colleges in the state and the nation, according to a new list released this week by a prominent magazine.

Forbes.com listed UTEP #365 out of 575 universities across the state. According to Forbes staffers, it is 7th in the state, before Texas Tech and TCU, and after UT and St. Mary’s University.

The magazine doesn’t get into in-depth detail about the university other than its population, student to professor ratio, and tuition. It also lists the average SAT and ACT scores of its students.

“I guess it’s what I paid for,” UTEP student Anna Aguirre told ABC-7.”I get a pretty good education for it. Like the classes are fairly simple but you do learn a lot.”

Forbes.com lists Princeton as the best college in the nation.
