El Paso Drops In ‘Urban Sustainability’ Rankings

El Paso dropped seven spots from last year to No. 38 in an annual ranking of the “urban sustainability” of the 50 largest U.S. cities.

The report by the organization SustainLane ranks cities by factors such as air and water quality, transportation and waste management.

SustainLane gives El Paso high marks for increasing its recycling program and encouraging “green” building, but says the city still has room for improvement.
